Queen Naomi Makes Rare Public Appearance With Son, Prince Tadenikawo


Ooni of Ife’s estranged wife, Queen Naomi Silekunola Ogunwusi has shared rare photos of her and the Prince.


The ex-wife of the monarch stepped out in style for her mother’s 55th birthday.


Taking to her official Instagram page, Queen Naomi shared photos from the event.


The Queen also gave fans a glimpse of the heir, Prince Tadenikawo.


“Over the weekend we celebrated maami @55 and here are few pictures from the beautiful event videos coming soon. Spot my prince charming in his blue tuxedo”.

The Ooni welcomes son

In 2020, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, had welcomed his first son from his now ex-wife, Olori Silekunola, and he was super excited about it!


Announcing the good news on his Instagram page, the then 45-year-old monarch wrote


“To God be the glory great things he has done. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Silekunola who today birthed a Prince to the Royal throne of Oduduwa. Mother and child are doing well to the glory of God Almighty.”


Sticking to their culture, the Prince was named 8days after his birth.


The birth of the prince was greeted by three phasses of 21day traditional rites according to the dictates of Yoruba cutoms before it was rounded off within the premises of Ile Oodua Palace of the Ooni.

Queen Naomi opens up on childbirth

Prophetess Naomi, recounted how the societal pressure made the journey to motherhood difficult for her.


Naomi spoke of the “difficult” experience she had prior to conception during her feature on TVC’s ‘Your View’.


Making reference to her story, the queen said conception becomes tougher for women when they are constantly reminded of their fertility struggles.


“It was like I was supposed to start popping babies almost immediately. The whole world was just looking at me,” Naomi said.


“Thank God for a supportive husband, he would always tell me not to bother. think it was something I was challenged with from the first day I got married.
