“It was rigged” Charles Okocha calls for a rematch with Portable following defeat at boxing match

Nollywood actor and singer, Charles Okocha has called for a rematch following his defeat at a celebrity boxing match.

It is no longer news that Charles engaged in a boxing match with singer, Portable which saw him being defeated. The superstars had settled their differences in a boxing match at Landmark Beach in Victoria Island, Lagos State.

The two exchanged in a fistfight, which saw Portable winning and clinching the belt as the Champion.

Following his defeat, Charles has called for a rematch, while claiming that the fight was rigged.

He questioned how netizens could believe Portable defeated him after giving up on round 3, which should have been an automatic disqualification. He noted how the singer took off his gloves in the 3rd round, which should have been a total disqualification.

Charles added that the Referees knew nothing about boxing rules, hence, why the singer was declared as the winner.

“How can you give up on the 3rd round when we have 4 rounds? How do you take off your gloves in the 3rd round that’s total disqualification when the fight hasn’t ended. Y’all know this shit was rigged plus an incompetent referee that knows nothing about boxing rules.

 Nevertheless, we move on, rematch soon”.

Taking to his comment section, while many concurred with him, others made mockery of him.

Recall that the two stars had clashed online after Portable accused Charles of swindling him. According to Portable, Okocha pocketed a whopping 40 million Naira from some promoters for a show in Desmond, Abuja.

Portable claimed he ended up with a mere 5 million Naira from Okocha. Feeling shortchanged, Portable called Okocha out, labeling him a thief for not sharing the money fairly.

In response, Okocha claimed to be the mastermind behind the deal and simply invited Portable as a guest, explaining that he even flew Portable from Lagos to Abuja for the event.

Regarding the payment, Okocha stated he had no formal agreement with Portable, so he paid him what he thought was reasonable – 5 million Naira.

However, Portable who disagreed with his statement, challenged Okocha to a face-off in Lagos.

Speaking on his victory, Portable called himself a heavyweight champion as he declared that the street had taken over.
