“How is your grandmother dark in complexion and you are yellow” Fan questions Adunni Ade over her skin tone, she reacts


Nollywood actress, Adunni Ade has replied an inquisitive fan over her skin tone.


The mother of two had shared photos of her and her paternal grandmother, who she revealed raised her right from when she landed in Nigeria decades ago. Adunni stated that her grandmother was her teacher, mother, and all. She added that her grandmother’s love is unconditional.


According to Adunni Ade, if she could count the many times she has been asked how she learned to speak Yoruba so frequently, she would have been a billionaire. Adunni revealed that her grandmother is the one who taught her how to speak Yoruba.

If I could count how many times I have been asked how I learned to speak Yoruba so frequently, I’d be a billionaire in dollars. Meet my Paternal Grandmother. She raised me right from when I landed in Nigeria decades ago. She was my teacher. My Mother and all. With no doubt, her love is unconditional! My one in all! E tun bo jeun omo”.

Taking to her comment section, a fan had questioned how the actress was light in complexion and her grandmother was dark.


“I have a question for you, how is Mama dark in complexion and you are yellow pawpaw”.


Adunni Ade savagely replied to him, revealing that she bleached her skin.

“I bleach”.




A few months back, Adunni Ade had recounted her first meeting with actor, Ramsey Nouah following their reunion on the set of a movie.


The light-skinned movie star revealed that she met Ramsey Nouah in 2011 and he gave her some pointers, which she still holds strongly to today. Adunni noted how Ramsey Nouah is one of the actors, she always uses to make reference.


Fast forward to now, 12 years after their first meeting, she got to rework with him on the set of a new movie.


In other news, Adunni Ade narrated her experience and challenges of being a single mother and hurting her father with the news of her pregnancy while at senior college.


In a lengthy post shared on her Instagram page, Adunni said she felt like the world came caving on her when she found out she was pregnant with her first child as many things happened to her. According to her, her father cut off all her financial support from her but her mother did all she could to stand by her.


The actress further revealed she fell pregnant again after four years and was upset about going through a similar pain she had experienced. Still, she was determined and more focused on being successful for her children, who brought a different vibe to her life.
