“I Decided To Give Drama This Year Because Last ear my ratings were low” Iyabo Ojo defends bully tag on RHOL show

Actress and “The Real Housewives of Lagos” Star Iyabo Ojo has taken to her instagram to once again defend herself against the bullying tag that has been flying around.

This comes after the reactions of viewers to her attitude towards Faith Morey and Laura Ikeji, her colleagues on the show. They have also come out to publicly accuse her of being a bully, prompting Iyabo Ojo to address the issue head-on.

In a recent live video, Iyabo Ojo offered insight into her actions on the show, revealing that her on-screen behavior was merely a scripted performance aimed at adding some drama into the series. She explained that after receiving feedback about her low ratings in the first season, she decided to step up her game in the second season by adding a touch of drama.

Despite issuing a previous open apology to cast members and anyone offended by her choices, Iyabo Ojo now maintains that her actions were part of the show’s demand for heightened drama. She urged Nigerians to consider that drama is a vital ingredient in many international Real Housewives franchises.

However, her explanations haven’t quelled the criticism. Laura Ikeji, in particular, slammed Iyabo Ojo a week ago, labeling her a bully. Laura went on to retract any previous apologies she had extended to Iyabo Ojo, expressing a newfound lack of respect for her.

Adding to the controversy, Laura Ikeji also criticized the show’s producers for introducing a gay man into the cast. She urged them to be more discerning in their selection, advocating for individuals who positively represent the LGBTQ community.
