Funke Akindele has been married twice; first to Adeola Oloyede and JJC Skillz.
Last year, JJC shocked the world when he announced the end of his 7-year-old union to the actress, as he admitted that the marriage had been having issues for the past two years, as he revealed that the actress asked him to leave her house, and refused any form of amicable communication with him.
Barely a year after the divorce, rumors made rounds that JJC Skillz had allegedly gotten married to an Ebira woman, identified as Falilat Raji.
Reports claimed that the private wedding was held on the 10th of February, 2023, in Kano state, and had only family and friends in attendance.
Speaking on their separation, Funke Akindele, in an interview with Legit.ng revealed that their vision no longer aligned.
According to her, their dreams and vision of what their marriage should be like no longer aligned, while adding that all efforts to make it work fell on de@f ears, hence, their decision to split.
Funke Akindele was once married to Adeola Kehinde Oloyede in 2013, but they divorced in May 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.
Speaking on it, Funke hinted at being pressured into marriage as she admonished young women against rushing into marriage because of pressure.
She noted how her first marriage ended in a very bad way, and it was all over social media, which led her to lose several endorsement deals and broke her down.
Amid her separation from JJC Skillz, the estranged couple seems to still be on good terms as they recently reunited in September for the premiere of her movie, She Just Be Obeyed, which JJC Skillz directed.
In a video that made rounds on the internet, JJC Skillz was seen hugging his estranged wife as they exchanged pleasantries. The two even became the cynosure of all eyes as they danced together, putting any rumors of bad blood away.
The video had melted hearts as many took to the comment section to gush over them, one of which was Faithia Williams.
Funke Akindele had also joined him in remembering his late friend, Steve Osagie who passed away last year.
To mark his one-year remembrance, JJC Skillz shared a photo collage of him and Steve and poured encomium on him.
Funke took to his comment section to also pay tribute to the deceased.
