Nollywood actor and film director, Tobi Makinde has poured praises on his boss, Funke Akindele following her record-breaking achievement at the box office.
Esabod Global News reported that Funke Akindele set a record for the Nigerian film industry as the first ever Nollywood film to enter a billion naira even in a short period.
Funke Akindele made a whooping one billion, sixty million, seven hundred and eleven thousand, four hundred and ninety-one.
Presently on the Wikipedia Nollywood grossing table, Funke Akindele’s movies, A Tr!be Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto The Saga are respectively the highest-grossing Nollywood films of all time.
Following this, Tobi, who was one of the Directors in the movie, via his Instagram page, hailed her for being an Amazon. He stated that the filmmaker has carved her name on a rock and it can never be erased.
He added that she is a testament that you can be whoever you want to be and achieve excellence as long as you put God first and he determined.

Recall that late last year, a report made rounds online that Funke and Tobi are having issues because Tobi wants to explore other fields but Funke doesn’t want him to work for other productions except hers.
To verify the news, Esabod Global News did a check on Tobi Makinde’s Instagram page and noticed that Funke Akindele hasn’t been liking or commenting on his posts like she used to. Kemi Filani even noticed that she omitted him when giving a shout-out at her premiere and he isn’t in any promotional video or skit for Funke Akindele’s new movie, A Tr!be Called Judah, rather Juliana Olayode has been the one helping the box office Queen promote her new project, which Tobi Makinde directed.
While others supported Tobi from moving away from her, others reminded that his colleague, Juliana Olayode popularly known as Toyo Baby took such steps but returned to the actress.
