Mercy Johnson expresses joy as she becomes the latest godmother in town


Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson Okojie can’t keep calm as she becomes a godmother.


The mother of four, revealed via her Instagram page that she has been made the godmother of Isaac Chinwe and his wife, Onyi’s newborn child.


Mercy shared a screenshot of the newborn’s baptism certificate which had her name as her godparent.


Expression excitement, she informed fans that she would be flooding their timeline with photos today.



Rejoicing over the news, she expressed gratitude to God for his faithfulness and congratulated the new parents on their bundle of joy.


“Allow me flood your timeline thru today… Latest godmother in town…My baby is here and we bless God for his faithfulness.


Congratulations to @isaac.chinwe and hubby @onyii_c_onyi.jnr. May God bless you always”.


Last month, Mercy Johnson Okojie was left in awe of God’s wonders as her daughter, Purity turned 11.


Taking to her Instagram page to share photos of the celebrant, Mercy expressed gratitude to God as she stated that she is short of words over her daughter’s life.


Mercy revealed that her daughter said she wanted no parties for her birthday and she and her husband granted her wish.



Some months back, following her husband’s victory at his polling unit, Johnson had expressed jealousy at the love and bond between her husband, and her first daughter, Purity.


The politician had taken to his Instagram page to share photos of his daughter’s visit to his new office at the National Assembly, where she was given special treatment from her father, which left Mercy Johnson feeling jealous.


Mercy Johnson described her daughter as Daddy’s girl as she complained about the level of cheating in her home.


Last year, Okojie shared a deep message with potential parents, advising intending parents on the need to heal before having kids.


According to her, if they don’t get healing, their kids would end up having to heal from having them as a parent.


She noted how pain changes people and makes them trust less, overthink more, and shut people out.
