Kunle Afod makes a passionate appeal to his colleagues over veteran actress, Iya Niwen as he finally meets her


Nollywood actor, Kunle Afod has made a passionate appeal to his colleagues over veteran Yoruba actress, Iya Niwen.


The singer, who has been offering support to his senior colleagues over the past few weeks, visited Iya Niwen in Ibadan at Agidigbo FM.


He expressed how excited he was to have finally met her as he appealed to his colleagues to help bring her back on movie set.

For some days now, Kunle has been advocating for Nigerians to show support and care to veterans in the industry. To prove how serious he was, he paid a surprise visit to Lere Paimo, also known as Eda Onile Ola.


Kunle shared a video on his Instagram page, as he expressed how excited he was visiting the veteran’s home for the first time.


Following his clamor for help, many made moves as they donated money to the veteran. Kunle shared a video of him revisiting the veteran as he gifted him the money, while appreciating the public for their token and said a word of prayer for them.


Recall that Foluke Daramola had written an open letter to President Tinubu and the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo Olu on the poor state of Nollywood actors, following the death of veteran, Dejumo Lewis.


She noted how many of the veteran actors are suffering especially health-wise and have no help. Foluke urged the president to offer a better arrangement for the veterans and called for them to set up a trust fund for the veterans and provide little things for them, that they would appreciate for the rest of their lives.
