Nigerian singer and rapper, Gabriel Othe Amanyi better known by his stage name Terry G has called out his colleagues for shunning him.
The music star, via his Instagram page, expressed sadness over how all his efforts to reach out to some of his colleagues during his tough times have proved abortive, as no one is responding to him.
Taking to his Instagram page, he questioned if it was fair the way they were treating him as he told them to remember when they once came to help for help and he answered them. Shedding more light, he revealed that he has reached out to several artists but they all failed to respond to him.
Terry G further questioned if it is when he is dead before they would organize remembrance for him.
“But this isn’t fair na, u will write to your fellow artist, he wouldn’t respond. Make una remember, when it was in my time, you all came to me and I have you guys hits. Now I am chatting you guys up, you don’t want to respond. Is it until I die before you guys would do remembrance for me? Na so Nigerian music be, make una reason am oo”.
In another post on his Instagram page, he reiterated that one doesn’t need to die before he would be remembered or celebrated as he noted how they are all contributing to the entertainment industry.
“You go wrote your fellow artiste, e no go respond.
When everybody came to G, they received hits.
We don’t have to die to be remembered & celebrated.
At the end of the day.
We all contribute to the global music library of sounds. Just in case. I am back. Thank you for the wait”.
Terry G’s statement isn’t a lie as after the death of young singer, Mohbad, many of the ills in the entertainment industry were exposed.
Recall that music superstar, Rema was under fire after he shared a screenshot of the message he received from the late singer.
Mourning Mohbad, Rema revealed how he ignored Mohbad’s message on his Instagram page in 2020 where the late singer stated how much he really likes his song “Peace Of Mind.”
He said he didn’t see the message until the death of Mohbad and he added that it is now too late to reply to him.
Similarly, Oxlade shared a screenshot of the message Mohbad sent to him in 2018, which he ignored.
In the message, Mohbad had hailed Oxlade for his singing prowess, describing his voice as extraordinary and expressing his love for him.
Unfortunately, Oxlade didn’t reply to his message and to make it worse, he had also restricted Mohbad’s account.
This made many realize the fake love in the industry and how people only show love to others when they are dead.
Some weeks back, Terry G had called out the All Progressive Congress (APC), expressing his disappointment at the political party, whom he campaigned for during the election.
Via his Instagram story, Terry G sent a message to those who are eating the country’s money, leaving them to God. According to him, it’s only a matter of time before God would judge them.
