I’ve been crossdressing since I was in the university- Bobrisky

Lagos based socialite, Bobrisky, has shared intricate details of his journey transitioning from a man to a woman, which started nine years ago.

Bobrisky said he started crossdressing as a marketing strategy while he was selling unisex clothes during his undergraduate days at the University of Lagos.

He made this known during an interview with music veteran, Charly Boy, explaining how he didn’t envisage that crossdressing would lead him into becoming a transgender person.

The internet personality disclosed that he faced resistance from his parents initially but they eventually allowed him to be himself.

Bobrisky said; About nine years ago, I was at the University of Lagos studying Accounting. I also had a side hustle, I was selling unisex clothes. Most times I try the female wears on myself and I love the outfits.

“From there, I moved to female hairstyles to makeup and more women were patronising my business. So I decided to keep crossdressing since it was lucrative.

“I wasn’t thinking I was going to do it for a very long time. Initially, it was just a marketing strategy but people were complimenting me that I look better as a woman than a man. That’s how I ended up being Bobrisky.”

Meanwhile, in another news…

Esabod Global News recalls that Brand influencer, Idris Okuneye Olanrewaju popularly known as Bobrisky has insisted that he is a woman, after having transitioned.

The self-acclaimed Mummy of Lagos, urged women to see him as one of them, stressing that they have no choice but to accept him into the sisterhood.

Bobrisky stated this during a live chat on Instagram amid the controversy surrounding his winning of the ‘Best dressed female’ award at a recent event.

He said he won the award at the movie premiere, fair and square after being nominated by three female judges and as such nobody should question him.

The crossdresser also appealed to people to stop dragging Femi Adebayo who presented the award to him at the venue of the event over the weekend.

Bob said in part; “I was nominated by three female judges as the Best Dressed Female. Leave Uncle Femi Adebayo alone…. Women have no choice. They have to accept me as part of the sisterhood. I’m a woman.”
