“All those who took side should be ashamed of themselves” Femi Branch berates Jigan, others for supporting Femi Adebayo against Dayo Amusa (Video)

Nollywood actor, Femi Branch is the latest celebrity to weigh into the ongoing feud between his colleagues, Dayo Amusa and Femi Adebayo.

In a video posted online, he expressed disappointment at his colleagues for picking sides between the actors rather than resolving the issues.

Calling them clout chasers, he noted how Femi and Dayo have been working for decades in the industry and shouldn’t allow a small issue to break them.

Femi revealed that he was hurt when he saw screenshots of their nasty beef as he disclosed that he privately reached out to both parties before making an online video. Staying on a safe side, he noted how Femi Adebayo did what everyone including himself would have done if he were to be in such a situation. According to him, what Femi did could have happened to anyone.

He noted how he wasn’t trying to justify it but he appealed to the public not to allow the mistake to ruin Femi’s legacy. Femi also noted how Dayo Amusa wasn’t in the wrong as she has all the reasons to be angry over the award, however, he doesn’t agree with everything she said.

“I was hurt when I saw the screenshots of their beef. Before making the video, I have reached out to Femi and Dayo because most times, things that aren’t supposed to be on social media are brought on social media.

Most of you on social media don’t really care about us. When we come out and wash our dirty linen in public, you all see it as entertainment. I think we are doing more damage when we bring our personal problems online.

What Femi Adebayo did could have happened to any of us. If I was to be at the event which I was supposed to be but I was working and that it was me Eniola called on to announce the winner and everything, you know the spur of the moment and he says okay… I would announce it, at that moment I won’t think of any implication or anything.

“I’m not trying to justify what anybody does, am saying that what Femi Adebayo did if I was there, I could have made that same mistake and I wouldn’t know that at that point in time that it was a mistake.”

Femi went there to support a junior colleague and that is what we do. He didn’t go there for a paid job but was just supporting his junior colleague. We talk about helping each other to grow and that’s what Femi went there to do. You all are making him regret going out to support a filmmaker who is trying to come up. I mean this is the first time Eniola Ajao is going to the Cinema. It is only right that Femi should lend his support.

I want to appeal to all of us this is a brand that he has built for years. Let’s not because of this little mistake start bashing him.

Dayo’s initial outburst was justified because if women can feel insulted on behalf of the women, then you can imagine how the women on that line felt. Dayo had every right to be aggrieved and feel insulted but am not saying everything she said was okay and all that.

Now the level the whole thing has gone to is what I am not happy about.

I have already appealed to them on a personal level. This is a relationship that has been built for decades, Femi and Dayo have known each other for years. It shouldn’t be this small thing that will spoil the relationship.

On a final note, every artist who has come out to take sides in this matter should be ashamed of themselves. I am very disappointed, I just see you guys as trying to chase clout. Because if you truly love them and want to support them, you should do it underground. I am sure you have their numbers”.

On Monday, Dayo Amusa had heavily criticized Femi for announcing Bobrisky as the Best Dressed winner at Eniola Ajao’s movie premiere.

Dayo, via her Instagram page, expressed her displeasure at the disrespect melted on the female gender present at the premiere. The actress called the judges and the organizers bluff stating they were wrong and not ok to have named a crossdresser the best dressed female.

Reacting to it via her Instagram page, Femi Adebayo’s wife, Aduke blasted Dayo for trying to bring her husband down, as she questioned how the person who presented an award be blamed for it. Dayo Amusa hit back pointing out how shallow-minded she is. She stated that the actor had to own up, take responsibility for his actions, and do the needful.

Speaking out, Femi Adebayo stated that he now sees that the movie star was coming at him and was envious of his success. Telling her she wouldn’t have rest of mind, he advised her to channel the energy on her career and should stop trying to bring him down.

With many of their colleagues picking sides, Jigan Babaoja had publicly called out Dayo Amusa mocking her over her failed career. He noted how the actress woefully failed in movies and also music.

Reacting to it, Dayo Amusa warned him not to allow her insult him. She stated that Jigan can’t use her to run mouth on social media as she questioned what effrontery or gut he has to come at her and the two further traded insulting words online.
