How Mohbad Met His Wife At Marlian Music – Father

Joseph Aloba has disclosed that his late son, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad met his wife, Omowunmi at Marlian Music.

He said the couplehad known each other at a very tender age at Oke-Iletu, Ikorodu, Lagos, before they were able to reconnect at Naira Marley’s record label.

The grieving father, who described Mohbad as a simple and modest individual, said when the singer reconnected with Wunmi there was no string attached.

He made the clarification by explaining the lyrics of the song “Komajensun” which Mohbad sang in 2020.

Mr Aloba quoted the verse “Naira lo gbe omo fun mi, I’m not a womaniser”, in the song referencing how Mohbad reconnected with Wunmi at Marlian record.

“He (Mohbad) met the lady (Wunmi) there (at Marlian Music) but they had known each other from Oke-Iletu, even though the lady was a student then,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the man recently said his ex-wife, who happens to be Mohbad’s first stepmom, once asked him to choose between the late singer and her.

He made this known during an interview as he clarified Mohbad’s lyric in the song, “Sorry”. Mr Aloba said hi relationship with her was complicated.

He revealed that he chose Mohbad, and his decision in picking his son over his partner led to her packing out from the family.

Aloba said; “The stepmother told me one day, ‘Choose me or your son.’ I chose my son (Mohbad) and she packed her loads and left.

I and the lady were together for more than seven years. I married her around 2005. That stepmother did not want me to send Mohbad to school, and I chose my son. And she decided to leave
