Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has earned criticisms online following her unveiling as the newest All Progressive Congress member by the APC women leader today.
The movie star, who contested for the governorship election this year in Rivers State, has officially decamped from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to APC.
The news was made known in a statement on the party’s Twitter page, where she was officially welcomed to the party.
The movie star was officially unveiled by the APC National Women Leader, Dr Mary Allow, at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja.
“Tonto Dikeh, the latest @officialAPCNg member, will be officially unveiled by the APC National Women Leader, Dr Mary Alile, today by 3 pm at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja, Nigeria.

The actress’s move to APC has caused a stir online as many dragged her for joining the leading party.

Recall that Tonto Dikeh took many by surprise when she announced her political ambition during the Rivers State governorship election months back.
The actress was picked as the running mate for Tonte Ibraye of the African Democratic Congress, Rivers State.
In an interview with Channels Television, while speaking in-depth about her political career, she bragged about never failing in leadership.
Unfortunately, her political campaign never saw the daylight as she surrendered her slot for another party based on advice from political elders.
