Chef Dammy’s pastor sues her a whooping 20 million naira for defamation of character

In the latest entertainment, the legal drama between Chef Dammy and her spiritual leader, Pastor Adegoke, has taken center stage. Pastor Adegoke has initiated legal proceedings, seeking a considerable sum of 20 million Naira as a remedy for what he asserts are slanderous statements made by Chef Dammy on her social media platforms.

His primary demands are that Chef Dammy retracts the statements she has made and compensates him with the aforementioned amount, as he firmly believes that his character has been seriously damaged due to her allegations.

This controversy traces its origins back to Chef Dammy’s earlier declaration, where she voiced concerns about her personal safety and indirectly implicated her pastor. Chef Dammy, renowned for her culinary prowess and as an equity chef, garnered fame following her remarkable performance in a cookathon orchestrated by her church’s leader, Pastor Adegoke.

However, as time progressed, their relationship became strained, primarily coming from financial disagreements.

Reports from an insider suggest that Chef Dammy’s freedom was significantly curtailed after her participation in the cookathon. Her phone and ATM card were reportedly held by the event organizers, making her inaccessible to friends and family through phone calls or social media messages.

A church insider disclosed that she was experiencing a sense of confinement and desired a return to her previous life, where she enjoyed greater personal freedom. Furthermore, it was revealed that Chef Dammy had been apprehensive about participating in the cookathon from the outset, and it was Pastor Adegoke who strongly urged her to take part.

The situation took a more complicated turn when Chef Dammy and her family declined to participate in a subsequent cookathon, and Chef Dammy transferred 700,000 Naira to her family members. This financial transaction appears to have been a pivotal moment in the ongoing dispute between Chef Dammy and Pastor Adegoke.
