“I proudly embrace my new identity as Mummy lawyer” Jayeola Monje expresses joy as her son bags a degree in Law


It is raining graduation for many celebrity kids this year. From MC Oluomo to Mercy Aigbe, Kazim Adeoti, and now Jayeola Monje, it is no doubt the season of graduands.

Joining the list of parents with graduands is Jayeola Monje better known as Jaiye Kuti as her son bags a degree in Law from Afe Babalola University.

Sharing the good news on her Instagram page minutes ago, she expressed pride in joining other proud parents and esteemed guests at her son’s graduation ceremony.

For her, she is proudly embracing her new identity as “Mummy Lawyer”, as it represents the sacrifices made, the unbreakable bond between her and her son, and the unwavering belief in the power of dreams.

She revealed that witnessing her son’s transformation into a lawyer fills her with overwhelming emotions. It isn’t just about her son’s hard work, but also a testament to the divine grace that has guided her through challenges and filled her path with hope.

“Today, my heart overflows with joy as I saw my beloved son achieve his dream of becoming a lawyer. I am incredibly grateful to God for giving me the chance to witness his convocation ceremony at Afe Babalola University’s Faculty of Law.

Surrounded by proud parents and esteemed guests across the world, the presence of dignitaries like His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Arole Oduduwa, and other revered Royal fathers across Nigeria, added grandeur to the event. Seeing my son’s accomplishments in front of such esteemed guests fills me with immense pride.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to those who joined me on this journey, overcoming the distance with their unwavering love and support. Their dedication truly demonstrates the strength of our bond and the joy that comes from standing by each other’s side.

Today, with a heart full of love and hope, I proudly embrace my new identity as a “Mummy Lawyer”. It represents the sacrifices made, the unbreakable bond between a mother and child, and the unwavering belief in the power of dreams.

Her colleague, Mercy Aigbe was also a proud mother during the weekend as her first child, Michelle Gentry bagged her first degree from the University of Manitoba, Canada.

The proud mother, who was on the grounds to witness the joyous day, shed tears of joy as she penned an open letter to her mini-me.

Mercy reflected on her struggles as a single mother as she poured praises on her daughter.
