Some youths who support Yahaya Bello have adopted a spiritual approach to helping the former Governor of Kogi state amid his alleged fraud case.
The supporters visited a native doctor to do protective rituals for the governor with the aim of preventing the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) from arresting him.
Esabod Global News recalls that the anti-graft commission earlier disclosed that it is seeking to prosecute him over alleged Eighty Billion Naira billion fraud.
In a video making the rounds on social media, the loyalists were in a shrine making some incantations in native tongue around fetish items while mentioning Bello’s name.

This is coming after some Kogi youths staged a protest at the EFCC office to challenge the planned arrest of Bello who evaded them last week.
The youths, under the auspices of the Coalition of Civil Society for Democracy, and Africa Youths Coalition for Justice, gathered in their scores, and were seen carrying banners which read; “President Tinubu, call EFCC to order”, “EFCC stop witch hunting”, “Yahaya Bello remains a responsible citizen”.
Convener of the coalition, Richard Otitoleke while addressing pressmen in Lokoja, said the groups were on ground in defence of the rule of law and democratic governance.
He called on President Bola Tinubu to, as a matter of urgency, examine the activities of the EFCC to ensure that their operations are professional in accordance to the extant law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
