It is a surreal moment for fast-rising Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr as she links up with her role model, Rihanna.
The Mavins singer had attended the launch of Fenty in London and had run into the American singer who doubles as the CEO of Fenty. In videos online, Ayra Starr couldn’t believe her eyes as she met with the mother of two, whom she hugged and pecked as they posed for the camera.

Back in September 2023, Ayra had declined to accept an award during the Headies award ceremony, because it wasn’t announced on stage. In response, she publicly refused to accept the award, stating that she would not show gratitude for an honor that was not deemed worthy of being announced on the main stage.
Ayra Starr highlighted the disparity between her treatment and that of male artists, who received on-stage recognition.
