In a new and surprising development, Okuneye Idris, popularly known as BobRisky, has donated chairs to Kirikiri Prison.
In a picture making its way on social media, some stands of chairs are seen in the correctional service center Kirikiri with the wording, “courtesy of Idris Okuneye BobRisky,” ascribed to it.
A caption accompanies the pictures. The caption reads,
“On behalf of BobRisky, for the Nigerian Correctional Service, Kirikiri, for the visiting area.”
Now recall that Esabod Global News has reported some weeks back that Bobrisky had been sentenced to jail for six months without an option of a fine.
The Justice of the Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced him to six months’ imprisonment without the option of a fine in a judgment that was made on April 12, 2024.
In the beginning of April, Esabod Global News had reported that BobRisky had been arrested by the EFCC for currency mutilation and abuse of the Naira. He also pleaded guilty to it and was however detained.
Now also recall that four days ago, Esabod Global News has reported that BobRisky had been moved to Kirikiri Prison. According to reports, the Nigerian Correctional Service transferred Bobrisky from Ikoyi Correctional Center to Kirikiri Prison.
The source further explained that the transfer was part of the standard procedure due to Kirikiri’s larger capacity compared to Ikoyi as well as for security purposes.
