Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has opened up on what it was like married to her now ex-husband and the father of her two kids.
The mother of two, in a podcast interview with Media personality, Toke Makinwa, revealed that she experienced poverty for the first time when she married her now ex-husband.
The entrepreneur told people not to be offended when the rich don’t understand the problems of the poør, as she was once in such a situation.
According to her, she didn’t know what poverty felt like until she married her ex, who lives in face me I slap you.
Iyabo disclosed that she was born into wealth, as she lived in Obanikoro, where there was a stable power supply. To add to it, she was being taken to school every day by a driver and had over N100,000 in her account.
The girlfriend of Pauloo Okoye added that he grandmother was one of the wealthiest women during her time, and as such, she never tasted poverty until she got married.
She described the experience with her ex-husband as an adventure for her, as she was craving attention, which her now ex was providing to her at that time.
“Unknown to many, the lavish lifestyle actress Iyabo Ojo lives did not come after she found fame in Nollywood.
A guest on Toke Makinwa’s podcast, the mum of two, revealed she grew up in wealth and had no idea the struggles people around her were having.
Iyabo disclosed she had a driver taking her to school, didn’t know NEPA used to seize power, and had a trust fund set up for her by her grandfather when she clocked 18.
The actress added that her grandmother was one of the wealthiest women of her time, and the first time she experienced poverty was with her ex-husband.
Initially, living that life with her ex was fun, and because she had lived in wealth, she saw it as an adventure. Iyabo also urged people not to blame the rich when they don’t understand the problems of the poør, as she had no idea ‘face me, I face you’ houses existed until she got married”.
Her revelation has since caused a stir online as while many concurred with her, others slammed her.
