Naira Marley Set To Be Prosecuted On 11 Count Charges Of Internet Fraud – EFCC


The Economic and financial Crimes Commission famously known as EFCC has released a statement revealing that a production warrant has be issued to Naira Markey by the court.

The Mohbad’s death case has taken a dramatic turn, and the unfolding events continue to captivate public attention. Just a short while ago, Esabod Global News brought to light the intriguing development that the police had identified a prime suspect in this perplexing case. This main figure happens to be an auxiliary nurse who is alleged to have administered a series of injections to Mohbad just hours before his tragic demise.

Also recall that the police had previously been speculating about another individual named Prime Boy. Prime boy was , a close confidant and friend of Mohbad, was declared a wanted man only two days ago as he was the last person seen with Mohbad before his untimely death. Primeboy however voluntarily turned himself in to the authorities yesterday.

Naira Marley and Sam Larry, had been the initial primary suspect, but the last couple of days the new facts have over shadowed them. However, a fresh development has thrust Naira Marleg back into the public eye. Shockingly, Naira Marley now faces a daunting 11-count charge related to internet fraud.

What’s more, the police have also stated that Naira Marley may not have played a direct role in Mohbad’s death, it has come to light that he had subjected him to bullying and threats while he was alive.

“Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday, October 5, 2023, issued a production warrant against Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley.

Naira Marley is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,

EFCC, on 11-count charges bordering on conspiracy and credit card fraud.

At the resumed sitting on Friday, counsel to the defendant, Olalekan Ojo, SAN informed the court that the defendant was unavoidably absent from court owing to his being detained by the Police for interrogation in respect of the murder of llerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

Ojo, therefore, prayed the court for an adiournment of the trial.”
