A Nigerian man, who bears striking resemblance with embattled singer, Naira Marley has cried out over the death of his mother.
Taking to social media, he claimed that his mother died of high blood pressure on Sunday, October 8th, due to his uncanny resemblance with the disgraced singer.
He cried out to Nigerians for help as he revealed that he had been receiving calls, messages, and threats from many.
According to him, the series of threats he has been receiving led to his mother’s death as she developed BP from worrying over him.
“Nigerians I need una help, my people I have lost my mother to the cold hands of death because of the calls, messages, and threats that I get she suffered high blood pressure cause I am Naira Marley look alike and she died on Sunday. Rest on Mum”.

A few weeks back, a Tiktok user named Marleytey who bears an uncanny resemblance to Naira Marley had found himself at the center of a mistaken identity.
He expressed that he has been enduring the brunt of online attacks, with his social media accounts repeatedly reported by those convinced of his identity, despite his claims to the contrary.
The allegations and suspicions aimed towards Naira Marley had taken a toll on his online presence.
Recall that following the death of Mohbad, Naira Marley had lost favor in the eyes of Nigerians after a video of his aide, Sam Larry assaulting Mohbad surfaced online.
The singer’s follower count has seen a noticeable decline, as it has dropped from 7.5 million to 6.9 million, at the time of reporting.
The repercussions of this situation have also extended to those associated with Naira Marley and his music label, Marlian Records. Zinoleesky, a talented artist signed under Marlian Records, has also seen a dip in his follower count and has been canceled by several show promoters.
