Yoruba’s most powerful monarch, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has gotten himself a new wife.
Following his third divorce from Olori Naomi Ogunwusi, the Ife monarch has tied the knot for the fourth time.
Recall that in July, reports made rounds that the monarch had gotten himself a new wife.
It seems that is true as the Ooni has finally taken a new wife.
It was learned that the name of his new wife is Olori Mariam.
According to reports by City People tv, Ooni had started arrangements in March for his new wife.
He had sent a high-powered delegation to her family to request her hand in marriage.
Unconfirmed sources said the new Queen is an Ebira girl, and her family lives in Ilorin.
Close circles of the new Queen of Ife described her as a nice and calm girl.
Esabod Global news reported in July that news filtered that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, had reportedly gotten over his estranged wife, prophetess Naomi Ogunwusi, and had taken a new wife, Mariam Anako, an Oil and Gas executive, who had vowed to be the monarch’s last wife.
Mariam Anako who works in NestOlil is a native of the Ebira ethnic group in Kogi State.
She was said to have been of immense help to the Ooni and this must have endeared her to him.
Esabod Global news recalls that the ex-wife of the monarch, Olori Silekunola Naomi Ogunwusi broke up with the monarch in 2021.
In a statement released on her Instagram page, Olori Naomi announced her crashed marriage.
In a lengthy post, Olori Naomi stated that she will no longer be enslaved and will now be only addressed as her son’s mother and no longer the Ooni of Ife’s Queen.
