Actress Iyabo Ojo Visits Mother’s Graveside To Mark Her 71st Posthumous Birthday (Photos and Video)

 

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has celebrated her mother’s posthumous birthday uniquely.

Esabod Global News recalls that Iyabo Ojo lost her beloved mother, Mrs Victoria Olubunmi Fetuga, in the early hours of Saturday, November 21, 2020.

Sharing the sad news, Iyabo Ojo took to her Instagram page and penned a touching tribute to her mother.

She wrote; ” My mother,my jewel,my guardian,my pearl…this is how you said goodbye?…we were joking about this days ago..I told you how much I want you to live long and watch the children become grown men and women but you said no..your joy was that I am happy..that your spirit would protect and be with us.

Little did I know you were set to leave..with total submission to the will of God, I announce the death of my mother Mrs Victoria Olubunmi Fetuga who passed away in her sleep the early hours of today Saturday 21st November at the age of 67yrs..mama,you might be gone but we your children and grandkids would make sure your memories remain and linger on..like you promised, your spirit remains with us…iyabo ojo your love.”

Marking her 71st post-humous birthday, Iyabo Ojo visited her mother’s grave with her entourage.

Describing her mother as a guiding angel, she revealed how much she misses her.

“Happy Posthumous birthday my darling mom. My guiding angel, words can’t describe how much I miss you. Keep watching us as you’ve always done when you were with us. Rest well Mummy, Love you with all of me. With love. Your darling daughter & family”.

Esabod Global News recalls on Sunday 21st November 2021, actress and single mum of two Iyabo Ojo locked down Lekki Lagos for a grand party for her mum’s one-year remembrance.

The party was witnessed by de creme la creme of the society, from A list Stars to highly Celebrated Society Men and Women. It was indeed one in-town party.

City People reported that the actress splashed Multi-million Naira at her mum’s remembrance party.

The party took place at the prestigious monarch Event Center, a unique and luxurious centre. The hall is tastefully furnished and equipped with air conditioning and uninterrupted power supply, adequate Security and vast parking lots. It accommodates 1000 guests with very Classy interior decoration, and this particular event is one if not the most expensive event centre in Lagos.

Over 30 food and drinks vendors were on Standby to serve the guests. From local to Continental dishes were all available for guests. Besides food and drinks, grills, small chops, and every other finger food were available at the event. Fespris bar took charge of exotic and expensive wines and champagne; guests had more than enough to eat and drink.

Three different musicians entertained the guests, though kwam 1 was the official musician at the party; before he came up on the stage, Samson Egbeyemi thrilled the guests. Later, the highly celebrated gospel act Lanre Teriba aka Atorishe also took over the stage and entertained the guests before Kwam 1 eventually took over for the night.

Celebrities such as Yinka Quadri, Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe, Anita Joseph, Blessing CEO, Toyin Lawani, Peggy Ovire and more graced Iyabo Ojo’s mother’s final burial party.
