Olori Abbey Grieves As She Marks 4months Remembrance Of The Late Alaafin Of Oyo

Olori Abbey, one of the wives of the Late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, is mourning the late monarch.

Esabod Global News reported in April that the Alaafin of Oyo, Lamidi Adeyemi, died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.

The remains of the top Yoruba traditional ruler were brought to Oyo in the early hours of Saturday, and traditional rites began.

The late monarch was 83 years old and the longest-reigning Alaafin, having ruled for 52 years.

The queen, who is still yet to get over his death, took to her Instagram page to remember him.

Fondly known as Current Alhaja, she noted how it had been four months since he left them.

She prayed for his soul to rest in peace and affirmed her love for him.

Hailing him, Queen Abbey stated that the late king would forever be in her heart.

Her post reads,

“It is four months today that you left us. May you continue to soul rest in perfect peace. Forever in heart, my husband Atanda, where the lion lives, the animal that goes to is not lucky, where the creature of war is left, the father of the one that is left. Walking around the corner. The thought of the pit kills the dog, the thought of the matter is the deceitful, the thought of a rich man is the one who has the power, the portion of the poor kills the owner. Whoever the Atanda holds a long hand if war, the Lord is the king’s law. Continue rest in peace, Omoibironke”.

Similarly, Olori Memunat Omowumi, one of the wives of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, grieved at the celebration of life ceremony for the monarch.

Olori Memunat shared a video from the procession.

Taking to her Instagram page, Olori Memunat mourned him as she bade the Alaafin goodbye.

She wrote, “Rest on Atanda”.

The queen, who had stayed off social media since his demise, took to her Instagram page to eulogise her late husband.

This came weeks after Olori Memunat showed her love and respect for the King as she marked her birthday in tears.

Esabod Global news recalls some of the Queens of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, had taken to social media to show off the new house gifts they received from the late ruler as part of their inheritance following his demise in April 2022.

One of them, Queen Moji, while showing off her house gift, wrote, “I want to use this medium to thank my husband, my king and my father for this wonderful house gift.

It was sudden to us but God knows best we miss you, we love you, but God love you more 🥰🥰🥰

May your good legacy continue to leave on my king 🤴

May your soul rest in perfect peace”.

Also sharing photos of her new house on her Instagram page, Queen Opeyemi Omobola, fondly known as Queen Abbey, expressed appreciation to her late husband for gifting her a befitting house.

She also prayed that her late husband would continue to find peace.

Also on her Instagram page, Opeyemi Omobola said it was difficult to describe how much the late monarch’s support meant to her and her children.

She also appreciated her late husband for everything he had done for her and for gifting her the new house.
