Sandra Iheuwa, the babymama of talent manager, Ubi Franklin and ex-wife of Steve Thompson, has slammed clergyman, Pastor Paul Enenche for embarrassing a woman over her testimony.
On Sunday, the woman identified as Vera came on the altar of Dunamis Church to share her testimony of how God made her the “only graduate in her family.”
During the testimony, Vera said she graduated with a “BSc in Law” from NOUN and the clergyman accused Vera of lying as there was no Bachelor of Science in Law. He further went on to express that she couldn’t speak good English and that lawyers are meant to be fluent.
The issue had irked much frenzy on social Media and Nigerians had dug into it and had brought out evidence that showed the woman in question wasn’t lying. A photo of her in her graduation gown made rounds online and her name was listed in the names of people who graduated.
Reacting to it, Sandra Iheuwa revealed that this is one of the reasons she doesn’t go to church. She slammed the clergyman for not investigating before calling her a liar.
Degrading his pastoral calling, she noted how some of the most religious people or so-called Men of God are wicked and heartless and don’t practice love but wickedness.
“You see why I don’t go to church. Instead of the pastor to investigate before calling her a liar. Now who’s the liar now? Pastor my foot. Some of the most religious people/so-called “Man of God” are wicked and heartless. Y’all don’t practice love but wickedness”.
Similarly, Shan George slammed the clergyman as she showed support for the woman stating that not believing a person is one thing, how you treat them is another. Sending love to the woman, she noted how she is a beautiful lady who made an effort to better her life.
Meanwhile, actress Jemima Osunde defended Paul Enenche, as she expressed that Pastor Paul is human. She further stated that if somebody were to lie unprovoked, as a human being, you’re naturally supposed to be annoyed.
She also questioned what would make a person decide to give the church a false testimony.
However following the proof that the woman was a graduate, she tendered a public apology and deleted the tweet she made mocking. Explaining the reason for her behavior, she went on to congratulate her while sending an apology for believing that she was lying.
Pastor Paul Enenche on his part, had tendered an apology to her as he explained that he never intended to disgrace the testifier, Vera Ayim when he interjected while she was testifying.
Enenche said his action was rather based on his and the church’s aversion to seeming mediocrity and any appearance of untruth.
