“Give me a second chance” – Bobrisky begs judge after pleading guilty to Naira abuse, makes promise


Nigerian crossdresser and internet sensational, Idris Okuneye better known as Bobrisky has pleaded with the judge to give him a second chance.


The crossdresser has been arraigned before the Federal High Court in Lagos on a six-count charge bordering on alleged Abuse of Naira and alleged Money laundering. Idris pleaded guilty to the first four counts bordering on Naira abuse. Before the charge was read, the EFCC’s counsel, Suleiman Suleiman, however, asked the court to strike out counts five and six bothering on Money laundering allegations. Justice Abimbola Awogboro subsequently struck out counts five and six.


Bobrisky was then arraigned on only counts one to four charges. When the counts were read, Bobrisky was asked if he understood the charge that was read to him and he replied, “Yes, I’m guilty”.


Now he is pleading with the judge to give him a second chance, making a promise to use his platform to inform and educate his followers about spraying money.


He begged the judge to tamper justice with Mercy as he wasn’t aware of the law on abusing Naira. He promised to use his platform to educate Nigerians on the ills of Naira abuse.


“My lord I wish that you can give me a second chance to use my platform to inform and educate my followers about spraying money.


I’m a social media influencer with over five million followers. I would do a video on my page and I will educate people about spraying money. I will not repeat it again my lord, I regret my actions, my lord”.


The judge then told him that ignorance of the law was not an excuse to which Bobrisky replied,” I know my lord.’’


It is no longer news that the crossdresser was arrested by EFCC on Wednesday, April 3rd at Pinnock Estate, in Lagos State.


Confirming his arrest, a spokesperson for the commission identified as Dele Oyewale exclusively revealed to Linda Ikeji Blog, the cause of his arrest. He claimed that the crossdresser was arrested for currency mutilation and abuse of the Naira and would be charged in court soon.


The commission had even released his mugshot, with a post shedding more light on his arrest and how his presence at Eniola Ajao’s movie premiere, Ajanaku led to his arrest.
