Former Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola, has said that Nigerians ask for too much from their Presidents.
In a fresh interview that has gone viral, the former Minister in the Buhari administration, said water, house rent, sanitation and others are not the constitutional responsibilities of the President.
In his words;
‘’Are we expecting too much from the President? What constitutional role does the President have with regards to things that affect the majority of the people? Water Supply, Sanitation, getting a business permit, paying rent? Those are things that are not the responsibilities of the Nigerian President.''
His comment has however generated mixed reactions from many Nigerians. While many agree with him, others argue that the buck of the Nation's wellbeing stops at the desk of the President.'
