Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Tiwa Savage has shared her struggle with poor eyesight.

The award-winning singer in a video on her Instagram page, gave an update on her eyesight, revealing that for the past two to three years, she has been squinting. According to her, when she reads, it becomes blurry and in the past few days, it has gotten really bad.

Tiwa disclosed that she has to screengrab a message and then go back into her camera to zoom and read it. She has, however, visited an Optician in London, who revealed that though her long sight is a bit okay, her short sight is bad.

The singer got herself a recommended glass to ease her pain as she jokingly questioned if she still looked sexy with the glass.

“Guys the last two or three years, I have been noticing that I will be squinting sometimes and when I read some stuff, it would be getting blurry. And in the last few months, I noticed it got really bad that sometimes I will have to screen grab a message and then go back into my camera and zoom. So when I was in London, I said let me go and see the Optician. So my long sight is okay for now, he said, not great; but my short sight (shakes her head). Like literally, I will be in a restaurant and I won’t be able to read the menu. But for now, your girl is back and you know I needed to make some luxury and got myself a cartel pair because ABG don’t play. Do I still look sexy?”.

In October, last year, Tiwa shared a piece of unfortunate news with her ardent fans that she was temporarily stepping away from performing. The reason for this hiatus was her contraction of a virus, which had forced her to undergo an extended period of strict vocal rest, spanning several months.

This was undoubtedly challenging for the artist, as performing is not just a profession but also her passion. Nevertheless, she said that this break was essential to ensure her complete recovery and to preserve the pristine quality of her voice for future endeavors.

A month later, Tiwa shared a cryptic message on social media after overcoming a challenging time.

Taking to her Instagram page, Tiwa revealed how God showed up for her during her breaking moment. Though not shedding light on what happened, she stated that she was meant to be broken but God showed up for her.

Recently, the singer had a word to share for the wise on her Instagram story. The stunning singer made a post, talking about when someone says she hasn’t changed, she say she has no intentions of changing because God made no mistakes when he made her.
