Nollywood actress, Wumi Toriola has spoken out on the detriment of godfatherism in the entertainment industry.
In the wake of Mohbad’s death, she noted how many deadly mistakes can lead to the death of anyone who has a godfather or godmother.
She noted how such people block intending helpers for their godsons/daughters, cancel their opportunities, breed more hate for them, and lots more.
Wumi added that this is the reason she and others have chosen to be their godfathers and godmothers.

Similarly, Popular comedian, Oghenekowhoyan Onaibe Desmond also known as Destalker, had recounted how some colleagues struck his name over godfatherism.
The 39-year-old stated that his growth in the industry was being hindered by many people over anti-fatherism attitude.
Mentioning names, he said his name had been struck out in several ways in the past with some prospective sponsors referencing senior colleagues.
In other news, Wumi Toriola has called out Production Managers in the Yoruba movie industry for their nonchalant attitudes towards cast and crew.
She shared a bitter experience she had recently on a movie set, stating that only she could explain how she felt.
Wumi went on to give important advice to her colleagues.
