Prophet Arrested Over Attempts To Assassinate Church Member Over N9m & S*x With Wife

Prophet Oladipupo Funmilade Joel a. k. a Baba Sekunderin of the The Way of Reconciliation Evangelistic Ministries (TWOREM) International, Lagos, has landed in trouble over his alleged attempts to assassinate his church member, Akinbo Ayokunle, after allegedly swindling him of N9m and destroying his marriage by sleeping with his wife in order to cover up the dastardly act.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Prophet Joel has been arrested by the Police operatives of the FIB-IRT, Lagos Annex.

The said incident happened at Gardon Street, Caterpillar Bus Stop, Ifako Ijaiye area of Lagos, where the church is located.

The prophet, Joel, allegedly planned to kill Ayokunle, who was said to have gone into hiding over threat to his life.
The embittered Kunle, as he is popularly known, said he did not only lose the whopping sum of money to Prophet Joel, that he also destroyed his marriage by having sex with his wife while claiming he did so due to the influence of alcohol he drank.

According to Kunle, his wife left him after he caught her in bed with Prophet Joel because she could not bear the shame of staying with him having been caught sleeping with Joel and that ended his marriage with her over five years ago.

The threat to eliminate Kunle by Joel became glaring after he demanded for his money from the prophet and he wrote a petition to FIB-IRT over attempts on his life and the alleged fraud.
Prophet Joel was arrested and detained for interrogation and he reportedly admitted and opted to make peace by refunding the money, of which he was said to have made some part payments.

However, he reneged on the payments and was then charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Nosa Watson Uhunwanghon, who did not object to his being granted bail, rather asked the Court to give a date for hearing to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubeinje, granted him bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties in like sum.

The matter was adjourned till 15th February, 2022, for mention while the defendant will remain in custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
