Tinubu arrives in Benue, set to meet stakeholders over killings



President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday afternoon, arrived in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

The trip is part of efforts to address the recent violent attacks in the state.

Tinubu touched down at the Makurdi Airport, located at the Nigerian Air Force Tactical Air Command Base, around 12:58pm.

The President is scheduled to visit the Yelwata community in Guma Local Government Area, one of the areas affected by the deadly attacks.

He is also expected to meet with key stakeholders to discuss ways to curb the violence and restore peace in the state.

In honour of the presidential visit, the Benue State Government declared Wednesday a public holiday.
