A 21-year-old female truck driver, Ms Omolade Ademola, from Ogbomosho, Oyo State, said the longest journey she drove was from Ogun State to Gombe State, in her three-year experience in truck driving.

 

The young lady learnt truck driving in the Ajah-Eleko area of Lagos State, after her senior secondary school examination, SSCE, adding that she has driven to Akure, Ilorin and Osogbo, which are capital cities of Ondo, Kwara, and Osun states, respectively.

President Tinubu Signs Electricity Act 2023 Into Law

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assented to the Electricity Act 2023 which was initially passed by lawmakers in July 2022.

The Electricity Act will replace the Electricity and Power Sector Reform Act of 2005. It provides a framework to guide the post-privatization phase of the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI) as well as encourage private sector investments in the sector.

The president of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman has disclosed the reason he attacked the late Prophet TB Joshua.

Suleman, in a video uploaded by his church on YouTube following the second memorial anniversary of Joshua, who died on June 5, 2021, said he attacked the clergyman because of a woman who told lies about several clergymen on Joshua’s pulpit.

An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court, on Tuesday, ordered the remand of a former Speaker of Ekiti House of Assembly, Dele Olugbemi, and one Tajero Adebayo in the Ado-Ekiti Correctional Centre over cases involving fraud and attempted murder.

Olugbemi, 48, and Adebayo, 42, whose addresses were not given, are facing a four-count of conspiracy, fraud, attempted murder and threat of violence.
