Woman nabbed by Makurdi youths over alleged child trafficking

A middle aged woman, simply identified as Doosuur has been apprehended by youths in the North Bank area of Makurdi town for allegedly trafficking children.

An Ondo State High Court has sentenced 61-year-old Pastor Famakinwa Ajayi, to 18 years imprisonment for defiling and impregnating a 16-year-old girl.

 

Ajayi, of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ayede Ogbese, in Akure North council area of the state, was charged to court on a two (2)-count charge of unlawful sexual intercourse with a child, contrary to Section 31(1)of the Child’s Rights Law of Ondo State and sexual abuse and exploitation contrary to Section 32 (1).

A woman has told the Central Criminal Court she was raped and abused by three of her brothers at least three or four times a week from when she was around 12 years old until she was 18.
