Naira abuse: EFCC, Cubana Chief Priest to settle out of court

Nigerian businessman, Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu better known as Cubana Chief Priest and the Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC would be settling out of case over allegations of Naira abuse.

Esabod Global News reported in Apirl that Chief Priest was arraigned by the EFCC over the charge of Naira mutilation amongst others. Pascal arrived before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court, Lagos, and pleaded not guilty to the charges of naira abuse. The celebrity barman was granted N10 million bail.

Sharing a photo of himself after release, Cubana appreciated those who had checked on him and bragged about being famous with claims that money is water. The likes of Davido, Mercy Eke, IK Ogbonna, Isreal DMW, and others left a message for him.

In an update to his case, Esabod Global News learned that the businessman and the commission would settle out of court.

According to reports online, the court would hear the settlement report on the 5th of June, 2024.

Recall that following his release, Cubana had turned a new leave and had adopted a new system of spraying money.

The celebrity bar man had attended a wedding ceremony and in viral videos, the businessman had avoided spraying money at the party.

Improvising, Cubana had made a transfer.

Making a case for the commission, Cubana Chief Priest told Nigerians that there was no need to run when EFCC invited them, as he admonished them to just pull up and answer them.

The businessman revealed that in their cell there is a bed, toilet, and bathroom as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner is been served.

Questioning why people are running and how long they would run, he added that EFCC is for big men and for me, it is a status symbol.
