In search of progress and development of the Owo Ancient Kingdom

Ms Oyindamola Lami Adeyemi, the Executive Chairperson of Tirex Energy and Petroleum Limited, played host to His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegeshin Ogunoye lll, Olowo of Owo, when he paid a royal visit to one of the most industrious and illustrious women of Owo kingdom. The royal father’s visit, which held on Friday, 2 December, 2022 in her private residence at Banana Island, Lagos, was to facilitate progress and development in the ancient Kingdom.


 


The visit, which brought together many prominent indigenes of Owo, was one of the private visits the Olowo made in recent times, to the most industrious and illustrious woman of Owo Kingdom, to facilitate Progress and Development to the ancient kingdom.

The Olowo was led by an illustrious son of the soil, Chief (Dr) Prince Rotimi Ibidapo OON, the Aare Atunluse of Owo Kingdom, who is also Ms Adeyemi’s blood brother. Ibidapo is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Derotech Group, Nigeria’s first indigenous petroleum oil service company in the deep-water drilling business in Nigeria. A philanthropist, he is the founder and funder of the Prince Rotimi Ibidapo Foundation, a non governmental organization, that has impacted lives by donating schools and fully equipped healthcare units to many communities in Nigeria.


 

On arrival, the Olowo, who is the 32nd Paramount Ruler of the Owo Ancient Kingdom, and his entourage, were received by Ms Oyindamola Lami Adeyemi, the oil mogul and one of the leading lights in the nation’s oil and gas industry. The leading business tycoon, whose other areas of business interests span across the construction & realty and capital and financial sectors of the economy, expressed her appreciation to the Royal Father for making out time to come all the way from Owo to visit her in her residence in Lagos.


 


The royal father, his entourage and some of the Banana Island residents who gathered at the venue to welcome one of the foremost Obas of Yorubaland, were thrilled by the 'Umoba Ologho' as the group displayed the Owo culture at its best.
