FBI arrests Governor Abiodun's aide over N144 million wire fraud.

Abidemi Rufai, aka Sandy Tang, 42, was arrested on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the JFK Airport in New York on a criminal complaint charging him with wire fraud to the tune of $350,000 or over N144 million.

The National Agency for Food And Drug Administration And Control, on Thursday, paraded some suspected drug and food fraudsters.

Director General, NAFDAC, Prof. Christianah Adeyeye, in a statement made available to The PUNCH on Friday, said one Mr Okeke Francis of No. 28 Otigba Crescent, G.R.A. Onitsha, Anambra State, was arrested with expired G-Man organic energy drink in Onitsha, Anambra State.

Suspects steal diesel from generator powering streetlights


Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, Ekiti State Police Command, have arrested two suspects for siphoning diesel from the generating plants used in powering streetlights in the Ado Ekiti area of the state.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Sunday Abutu, on Thursday, said the two suspects, Danjuma and Idowu, were arrested on Wednesday by men of the RRS along the NTA Road, Ado Ekiti, while trying to get away with a 25-litre gallon containing diesel suspected to have been siphoned from the generating set.

A 25-year-old cattle rearer, Mohammed Abubakar, has been arraigned at a Magistrate Court in Ilọrin, the Kwara State capital for allegedly inflicting bodily injury on a girl, Mohammed Aisha, over sex.

He was brought to court on two counts of causing grievous hurt and attempting to commit culpable homicide.
