The Lagos State Police Command has said a 53-year-old woman, who was found with laminated electoral materials, is in detention.

The police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this to City Round on Friday.

Operatives of the Western Nigeria Security Network, popularly referred to as Amotekun Corps, have arrested one Daniel Chigozie for allegedly selling his son to three different buyers in Ogun State.

The Commandant of the Corps in the state, David Akinremi, disclosed that the Corps got intelligence that Chigozie, a 30-year-old, had sold his nine-month-old son, Daniel Chinonye Darlington, to three different buyers at different locations in Sango, Meiran and Apapa area of Lagos.

Fake DSS officer remanded for defrauding prophet, others

An Ondo Magistrate’s Court has remanded a 46-year-old man, Ebenezer Adefehinti, for allegedly defrauding three people under the pretext of securing jobs for their children.

The defendant was said to have claimed to be an official of the Department of State Services.

He was arrested by in June 2022 at Ayegun Oka Akoko in the Akoko South-West Local Government Area of the state.

He was arraigned on five counts.

 


The police prosecutor, Inspector Augustine Omhenemhen, told the court that Adefehinti, with the intent to defraud members of the public, falsely represented himself as an official of the DSS.

The deceased as gathered by Vanguard was attacked and killed in his house at Ile Tuntun area, Ibadan the Capital city of the state in the presence of his wife and kids.


The deceased and two others that are yet to be identified were confirmed dead upon arrival at the Adeooyo state hospital, Ring Road Ibadan.

Two schoolgirls stab 12-yr-old to death in Germany

 

Two schoolgirls have stabbed a 12-year-old girl to death in Germany, following the girl’s disappearance on Saturday, according to the police.

 

According to The Straits Times, the victim, identified as Luise, was declared missing on Saturday after leaving a friend’s residence near the town of Freudenberg in the western state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

In shocking news to everyone, her body was found the following day in a wooded area not far from her home

 The child died as a result of numerous knife wounds and the resulting loss of blood,” Koblenz prosecutor Mario Mannweiler told reporters, adding that there was “no indication of a sexual offence”.

 

The two Luise’s killers ages 12 and 13 have confessed to the murder, added Mr Florian Locker, head of Koblenz police’s homicide department.
