A Chief Magistrates Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has
sentenced a 19-year-old man, Olamide Olasode, to seven years in prison,
without an option of fine, for stealing cables worth N397,000 from an
uncompleted building.
The Magistrate, I.O Abudu, sentenced Olasode after the latter had pleaded guilty to the two counts of felony and stealing brought against him.

days after he was declared wanted operatives of the National Drug Law
Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested fleeing Lagos socialite and
owner of Adekaz Hotels, Alhaji Ademola Afolabi Kazeem (a.k.a Alhaji
Abdallah Kazeem Muhammed) over offences bordering on exportation and
trafficking of illicit drugs as well as money laundering.

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, has ordered that the cybercrime unit in the Nigeria Police Force be reorganised as a number of units were merged to make up the new cybercrime unit of the force.
This was revealed in a statement by the NPF posted on its Twitter handle on Friday evening and signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
According to the statement, the reorganisation was done to create a more formidable front against cybercrime-related offences.

A man, identified simply as Akpos, is on the run after allegedly burning his wife, Risikat, to death at their residence on Ayide Osolo Street, Divine Estate, in the Ijanikin area of Lagos State.
