Woman nabbed by Makurdi youths over alleged child trafficking

A middle aged woman, simply identified as Doosuur has been apprehended by youths in the North Bank area of Makurdi town for allegedly trafficking children.

 


It was gathered that the woman who was alleged to have been on the run since 2018 was caught in the act, Wednesday, by the vigilant youths who carefully monitored her before her arrest.

An Ondo State High Court has sentenced 61-year-old Pastor Famakinwa Ajayi, to 18 years imprisonment for defiling and impregnating a 16-year-old girl.

 

Ajayi, of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ayede Ogbese, in Akure North council area of the state, was charged to court on a two (2)-count charge of unlawful sexual intercourse with a child, contrary to Section 31(1)of the Child’s Rights Law of Ondo State and sexual abuse and exploitation contrary to Section 32 (1).

Alleged $2.2m Fraud: Court Adjourns Trial Of Ex-NHIS Boss, Oluwafemi Thomas

A Federal High Court in Lagos has adjourned till May 15 and May 16 the continuation in the trial of Oluwafemi Thomas, a former Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

Thomas is standing trial alongside a bureau de change operator Kabiru Sidi, on a four counts charge bordering on 2.2 million dollars money laundering.
